Adam Hadwin is Canada’s top-ranked male golfer and has competed on the world stage against the game’s best this year, but he hasn’t forgotten his local roots. The 23-year-old from Abbotsford, B.C., plans to play this week in the Paine Edmonds Vancouver Open, the penultimate stroke-play event of the season on the Vancouver Golf Tour.
From August 19th to Sept.1st, all Vancouver Open competitors will be offered the regular posted twilight rate at each of the 3 Parks Golf Courses two hours before twilight. Players are to call the respective golf shops to book their practice times and make payment directly to the Pro-shop. Contestants are asked to print their Vancouver Open confirmation receipt and bring to the Pro-shop when checking in to verify they are playing in the Van Open.
#1Ranked Golfer in Canada ADAM HADWIN to play in 2011 PAINE EDMONDS Vancouver Open. The 23-year old Abbotsford Professional has had one of the fastest rises to fame in Canadian Golf history the past 18 months. After two runner-up finishes early in the ’10 Canadian Tour schedule, Adam Hadwin took a boat load of confidence into his first Nationwide and PGA Tour starts, where he would finish in the top 40 in both events, finishing Low Canadian at the RBC Canadian Open. He would cap off his 2010 season with a win at the 2010 VANCOUVER OPEN and then win for the first time on the Canadian Tour at the Desert Dunes Classic in November, setting the wheels in motion for his legendary year on tour in 2011.
